Hey there so I have our wonderful hen kiwi she’s a silky and hatched out 7 chicks. We have placed our 6 day younger incubator chicks cooped next door able to see them nicely (we have 16) We did this a week and half after they were born and things have been totally good except for yest. The chicks are about 19 days and 25 days old and our broody hen is getting upset and trying to attack them Thru the fence enough to where she cut her beak! She also today attacked two of her own chicks she hatched! Is this normal? Part of the pecking order things coming ? Or is it the fact we have the other chicks next to them? When do we introduce them to each other and will this be a continued pecking order until they all just get along? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Am I suppose to take kiwi our broody and return her to the original coop with our other hens or leave her with her chicks?

Maybe she is just done raising the chicks. If she is attacking the chicks then you should separate her.

This thread began over 8 months ago, so those particular chicks should be fully grown by now.

(Your advice is good, you just weren't here to give it at the time the person was asking.)
