Broody Hen and Chicks

I need help... I know that you can mix a broody hen and chicks during the night but can you mix them during the day.

I'm guessing that you want to know if chicks can be given to a broody hen during the day. Night time works better, but I have given chicks to experienced hens during the day. Watch closely and you will know very quickly if she has accepted them.

@nchls schoolThx. She was an inexperienced hen do I just slipped them under her at night and this morning when I went out there there were 2 little heads poking out from under her and lots of clucking so all went well.
