hi everyone! This is my first time posting.

My hen has been hoarding eggs since Friday (we went out of town). She's definitely broody. Again.

Is it safe to eat the stash of eggs she was hoarding? I worry about how warm they were beneath her. 70-80 degree days in San Diego.

Thanks for any info!

I will have to say, unwashed eggs have a protective coating arond them that keeps them fresh for a long time. Crack one into a container. If it spreads out a ton or smells bad, then it's too old.

Thank you. I'm definitely a little bummed about the idea of giving up on 7 eggs...
