Broody Hen and Gosling?

We've currently got two hens and five chicks. Both hens are laying and we just transitioned our chicks to be outside during the daytime (it gets cold at night still) where the hens can see them but not get to them.

One of my hens has been laying on both hens eggs for a large portion of today. I'm waiting to see if she continues or not, but assuming she does -and becomes broody- will I be able to introduce a gosling to her? We will be getting one early May.

Our chicks are a little over a month old right now so I know it's too late to introduce them, but I'd like for the little guy to be raised by a momma instead of a heat lamp.

Alternatively, our plan is to get one more newly hatched chick the same time we get the gosling so it won't be alone.

Thanks in advance! We're still new to all this and learning:)

Do you already have geese? If not, you need to get more than one gosling. Geese are flock animals and need to have a companion of their own species, regardless of whether or not they will be living with other species of birds.

That said, if you got a couple of day old goslings and wanted to givethem to a broody hen, she may well adopt them to raise.
