So one of my hens just went broody for the second time. The chicks are almost a week old. Is it possible I could sneak them under her and she might adopt them?

Anyone...someone....help. Can I sneak out there tonight and slip some chicks under her? She's already plucked out all her chest feathers from last time she went broody ... she's determined.

She will take them from my understanding. The issue is them bonding to her. Sneak them under tonight and watch her reaction in the morning. My broody stays on her clutch for a day before changing gears to momma mode. If she allows them under her, let it ride and see

I guess I'm scared she will hurt them if she doesn't want them. I am gonna give it a try :)

Ok....so I just put them in with her....she woke up when I opened the egg box. I took the ceramic egg she was sitting on and put them in. I'm going back out in an hour and checking on them.
