Broody hen back on the nest.

I broke my broody about one month ago, and today she was on the nest. Is she trying to set or is she trying to lay an egg? How long after you break the do they start to lay?

That is a good question...My broody stays broody unless I give her chicks to raise. She has grown chicks and I thought she would go broody and she still thinks she is raising them. The chicks are 6 months old and grown

Chances are she will go broody again since she didn't raise any chick...I could be wrong??

She could be trying to lay again...
When Penny goes broody and I've broken her, she takes about a week or so until she starts laying again...
