I have a broody hen who is caring for the 5 chicks I slipped under her last week. Right now the chicks are about 7-9 days old. Unfortunately 2 of the light colored chicks are being tortured by the other 3 by having their eyes pecked. I have separated them and tried to reintroduce but both chicks ended up with swollen shut eyes again. So now I have 3 chicks under mom and 2 chicks in a brooder inside. The olive Eggers are pecking the Leghorns. I've already tried distractions with shiny marbles and such. My question is this - I'm thinking about switching out the chicks under mom every 24 hours so they all get a chance to be imprinted to her. My hopes are that in a week or so the eye pecking stops and they can all stay with her. She is a very attentive mom.

And please, if you do not have experience in this topic or something related then please don't provide a response.

How much space are they in with Mom?

I think switching chicks would be extremely stressful on Mom and chicks even if you were somewhat successful in doing that. If you've already removed 2 to brood yourself, then continue the way you are until she cuts the others loose, then you can start the process of integrating the chicks.
