My Buff Orpington goes broody about once a month. We've started calling her whack-a-doo because her behaviors seem to be a constant situation. I came home from work today, removed her from the nesting box so she would eat/drink/range for a couple hours, and noticed that she drooled! I'm sure she gets HOT in the box - it's been in the 90s here. I took her to a pan of water and she drank quite a bit. Otherwise seems fine...besides being a nut job. Any ideas? Is this something connected with being broody and not eating/drinking or could it be something else?
