Broody Hen - Duck Eggs?

I have a broody hen but my rooster is too young so the eggs are not fertile. I remove them daily and physically remover her from the coop but she continues to insist on sitting. I have fertile duck eggs from my Pekins, can i give her those to sit on instead.

She would need to be committed because of the extra time it takes for duckling to develop. Do you have an incubator as a back up just incase?

I do. It's currently full but if she sits at least 2 - 2 1/2 weeks it'll be empty and i could put them in if she breaks.

No guarantee with live animals, but chickens will sit until the eggs hatch even if they are a week late.
