About 2 weeks ago a hen went into a rabbit hutch and in a wooden box in there and went broody. she was originally on 2 but then i added 4 more eggs. the first couple days she would kick an egg out every now and then when she got up. Now more recently when she did that i noticed an egg shell. I lifted her up and realized she was sitting on 2 eggs and i couldn't see the others anywhere, just a lot of yolk. Then she started kicking the remaining 2 out ( I noticed one in the water bowl this morning.) So that must mean they aren't fertilized. But she still sits there and gets very agitated when i touch her. Could the box somehow be to small? If so could i start this again with her in a different area? I have heard of hens getting traumatized when you pull them off the nest, so i really don't want to traumatize her. Thanks.

I would probably give her a larger area to nest in, space away from others, and a safer distance from the ground and the box so the eggs wouldn't fall out and break
