broody hen for almost 3 months now - no chicks?

Ok,

Please live near me so I can purchase her from you. Always up for one more Mom.

I live rural, real rural...no city amenities so I use broody hens to hatch. If she is willing to sit for 3 months, you have a go girl.

My girls seem to know a unfertile egg and pop it. I have noticed that once they hatch something, they enjoy raising the chick or chicks and then stop the broody behaviour. Of course, I perfer a baby machine, lol. Nope...they stop.

Find some you want to hatch and let her hatch....only 21 days. You would be suprised just how many eggs she can warm, load her up. Move her with her own nest into a cage or box.

I have also found that once a hen sits, other hens climb over her to lay in her box, they add eggs to her clutch.

For candling, I have a small pen light. I found one at Target in the camping gear stuff. The torch. In is inset at the bulb and you can place it up against the egg and see everything. Veins, heart pumping, etc. Room needs to be dark first.

What breed is this little Momma to be?
