So do you know how long she's been setting...is it more than 21 days?No I didn't. She started with 11 but ended up with 13 so I knew at least 2 wouldn't hatch.
Any candling done to see if eggs are developing?

Most be more than 21 days. I admit I wasn't sure when she started sitting but Thursday was a 21 days estimate. I think only 4 have hatched but she doesn't get up so I can't really see. Is it time to move her?So do you know how long she's been setting...is it more than 21 days?

I can't really get under her and what if they're alive but she won't sit on them once I've touched them? Most be more than 21 days. Ok. She has the roosting area to herself all day and I have chick starter and waterer for them. One chick has already been eating it but it's been hatched since Saturday at least.I’d just let her be. The first hatched chicks can go up to 3 days without food or water. There really isn’t a reason to move her, is there? I’d let her finish hatching and then see how it goes. Watch to see how the other hens interact with them.

I'm sorrySo glad to finally see a thread about this!! Ive been having the exact same thing happen to our Batam Wyandotte and she’s not been broody since mid-winter ! It’s not the usual case of letting them fight it out a bit and then they are good..not a single bird tolerates her and the roosters are especially aggressive about it![]()
Often a good ideamay have to start a new thread.
I just tried candling 4 eggs that I could reach under her (there are more) and I dropped one inside! At least it was rotten and not a chick butI’d just let her be.
