i have a broody sitting on 4 eggs at the minute, three are a cross between my Ameraucana and my Silkie Roo, the other one is a pure silkie. We are on day 19 and I've just heard peeping coming from one of the eggs.

I'm really excited to see the first crosses of my own birds.

I don't have any questions, i just wanted to share my excitement! I'll share any photos on here as soon as I have any :fl:)

That's fantastic! I just hatched our first cross not long ago. Hatching any egg is neat but one of your own crosses is much more fun. We've actually got one of the cross cheeping right now too. Congrats!

I have a baby! And It looks like this little one takes most of its genes from its Silkie dad as it has 5 furry toes!

Only have 2 eggs left as one of them was bad and exploded under the broody today!! My goodness she stank!!

I'm curious, did you get any new baby chicks? And how is the little one doing ?
No, the other eggs never developed, but our little one is doing great. It's really interesting watching it's colouring develop, because it's taken on its own colour really nothing like mum or dad so far!
Mum is a white splash ameracauna and dad is a partridge silkie, but Twiglet is dark grey!
But so cute.

My 2020 unexpected lost and found wondering around my yard on Feb 25th. I gave up looking for her after 2 weeks.
