Hi y'all! My broody hatched her chicks yesterday and through the night.:wee Egg-citing times in the flock! However, while I was observing the new babies, I noticed that one of the chicks was under Mom way more than the others. When Mom moved, the chick was asleep and woke confused as to where she went. The chick got up for a second and moved to where its siblings are. Then it proceeded to fall asleep again. I think that this was the last chick to hatch and that may be the reason for it being tired. Am I overreacting or could something actually be wrong?

Details of genetics and other things:
1: EExWTB(Whiting True Blue)
2: Yellow with some gray/orange streaks and muffs
3: Has a slight cut on the end of the beak near the face
4: Hatched from a blue egg
5: One of the last to hatch, possibly during the night
6: Could I have affected the way it hatched when I first looked under Mom yesterday to take a peek? Three were still hatching then.
7: Its mom(WTB) is currently sick with salpingitis which is why I hatched out her last egg. Could this have transported into the chick?

If you have suggestions like electrolytes or chick boosters, I would love to know what they are.
Thank you!:D

There is not much you can do. I personally would not give any additives into water. Clean fresh water is best IMHO. Only thing that I would offer,,,,,,, would be cooked (boiled) egg. Chop up so there is yolk and white available. Your other chicks am sure would rush to that quickly, so try to feed lil one first.
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:
