Broody hen hatching eggs

I have a broody hen that I want to hatch some eggs. How long will she stay broody for? I don't want to order fertile eggs and when they get here my hen not be broody anymore. Also, could I buy chicks and would the hen raise them? Thanks for any help

I know that my broodies will sit for at least 29 days. I forgot to close off one of my broodies and when she went to go eat and drink, another hen laid an egg. She had already been sitting for around a week. I have tried to add chicks in the past before I got an rooster. Both times the broody attacked the chicks . I even added the chicks at night.

If you want to try putting chicks under her let her sit on fake eggs for 21 days so she feels like she did the work. Then sneak them under her at night.

I had a broody that just hatched some chicks and she waited about 6 days before I could get fertile eggs under her, so she was setting for almost a month.
