Hello!
We had a Production Blue go broody, but it's roasting here in SoCal. What a time to pick, July right? We gave her eggs yesterday, but I'm wondering given the hot weather how that will effect the incubation process? She seems to be doing okay, but she feels hot of course and I gave her some water near the nest. Temps (so far) have not gone above 100 F, but they are in the high 90's. Low humidity. Will the eggs hatch sooner? I had a broody in September, but it wasn't this hot I think. Her eggs hatched day 19/20.

I appreciate your input, thanks!

90s shouldn't be a problem. You'll just see her spending a lot more time off the nest.
There was a person on here a couple winters ago with a broody in Australia and it got well over 100F a few times. She tried several tricks including keeping a fan blowing into the nest. If I remember correctly, they had a pretty good hatch.

Okay, thanks for the reassurance! Looking forward to chicks in a few weeks :)
