My question is, when the chicks hatch it usually takes a couple days so when and how do I get water and food to the first ones that hatch?

They do not need it---if they all are hatching within say 24 hrs of each other(if its going to be days and days---then you got a problem). They have the egg yolk they absorbed as food and can go 2 to 3 days just sitting----waiting on Momma to Say-----Lets all go eat. I have set over 150 broody hens in the last 3 years---Its not a problem.

Well, they won't need it for the first few days as PDR states......
....but they are not likely going to be able to get out of that box.
I'd tip that box sideways...maybe before the hatch, maybe after the hatch is done.
