Broody hen info please

I am learning this right my hen needs to be on her eggs for 21 day?

Yes she does. If some havent hatched within 21 days dont worry, wait untill the 24th day, if they dont hatch by then, sadly they wont be hatching.

On day 3 hen looks happy there is 6 eggs under her and now it looks like I have 2 more hen hanging out in the laying box could I put eggs under them or it not a good idea?

Yes you can.

Are they just hanging out and looking or are they puffing and acting broody. If they are not acting broody and just looking at what the other hen is doing there just sitting. I would wait. I have found though if the leaves the nest to eat and drink and someone decides to lay in her nest. She just finds other eggs to sit on. So just watch.

these are two of my broody hens the one one the ends I have not left eggs under yet but the one that is sharing her box at this moment is the one with 6 eggs under her!

Looks like you may have a case of "Contagious Broodyism"...LOL

Give the newcomers a day or 2 & see what happens when you try to reach under them. If they get all huffy & puffy then they are ready to sit & you can give them eggs. If not, they are just thinking about it. Give them a couple more days & see what they do then.

So much for thinking I had a broody hen after 4. Days she left her eggs and move to a different laying box : (
