Broody hen kept switching nests to sit on. I don’t know if there alive now. Would they be alive?

My broody Brahma kept switching nests to sit on. She finally made her mind and choose one. This happened for about the first five days of incubation. It’s now about the tenth day. We through the eggs in the nest she sat on but doesn’t anymore out. Also hens laid eggs in her nest when she wasn’t there. Then a hungry hen came and ate one when she wasn’t there but the egg remains didn’t have blood or a chick.

Have you marked the eggs so you know which are the ones she should be sitting on and which ones are new ones the other chickens are leaving her?

If you can separate her from the other chickens somehow she might be more likely to sit put if no one else is bothering her. The other day I watched a chicken come up and peck my broody square on the head because she wanted to use the nest box.

You can candle them in a few more days to see if they look as they should and are still developing!
