broody hen question ?

how long will a hen sitting on fake eggs before giving up?

Possibly forever, it depends on how determined she is... But why would you do that to her? Broodiness is hard on a hen. Unless you plan on slipping some fertile eggs under her, I wouldn't put her through that. She'll loose weight, pull out her own feathers, go without food and water, "hold it" all day so she doesn't have to leave the nest.
