Hi all:
Our SLW hen went broody a few days ago. We've been stealing the eggs but didn't do anything about it, but are now considering letting her hatch some eggs. Does the fact that she's already been sitting for three days cause a problem? I'd have to wait till tomorrow to have even a small clutch of fertilized eggs to give her. (we only have 5 hens, one is a tiny hen who we don't want to hatch from, and of course, the SLW isn't laying anymore)
I've read about separating her, and I have a box and nest ready for her to move this evening if you don't think our delay is a problem. Thanks for any advice!
