Broody hen question??

Will a hen go broody if there isn't a rooster?

we have a bantam that was laying 6 eggs a week and after we got rid of the rooster she quit laying for over a week now . I hope she starts again I like her eggs better than the standard hens eggs

Thas the same problem I am having. We got rid of the rooster and got a new hen and now the original hen won't lay eggs, it's been three weeks.

They don't like change. It will take time. Some adjust better than others.

well I got home from work today and my little bantam girl had given me 2 eggs today. woo hoo
