This is a silver laced Polish that went broody on the 8th . Who else has a broody hen. I would like to see pictures. :D

Hey saw none replied!
One of my 2 broodies hatched out thursday (she kicked the other one off the clutch, so that one went back to the Flock)-- she still sitting (on the ground though with the chicks)--
sorry I dont have pics.....

But very excited to have my first Broody hen its amazing watching instinct kick in like that...

My broody hen's adopted chicks are a week old now. She sat on her nest for about two months and nothing happened, other than she broke a (what was probably the only
roll.png
) fertilized egg, so I got a couple from the last incubator hatch and gave them to her to see what she would do. She's pretty happy.

Does she still sit around on them alot? Just curious its our first hatched out chicks and a broody-- she is nesting in the run in piles of straw under the porch ramp, it has been raining straight for 2 days now so its cool (60's).. But all she really does is hunker down with the babies under her-- they are 5 days old....

She's quite content to let them run around on their own (she even jumped out today and left them behind
barnie.gif
), but I still see her sitting on them in the evening.

I am thinking its the cold rainy weather (I think I have another broody out in the berry bushes in this weather)-- its supposed to dry up tommorrow and be in the 80's (FINALLY) so I will see if chicks emerge alittle more tommorrow.... So far the Flock ignores the little group (they are right next to the feeders and mash bowls-- the Flock just eats and goes about their business like they are not there...
