Any updates
Unfortunately, I don't have much choice. I kinda have to use a broody. Nankins just don't seem to do well in an incubator. They need to hear mama talking to them all along or hatch rates plummet. I had a first-timer quit on me the first week, so I have those in a bator at the moment, but I'm not really expecting any peeps, now. Still ... one can hope!
how are they any peeps?

I'm so surprised at the results! A broody is OK but I too have had hens abandon close to the end. I have a bantam now on like...idk...14 eggs? If she hatches even one I'll be shocked. I also had a broody goose kill 3 of her own goslings, and a broody duck that attacked me daily over a fake nest of golf balls and infertile eggs. I vote incubators! As long as the power doesn't go out and you follow the guides to incubating, you get your birds. And I like that. Lol!
