Yes, that’s what I fed mine and her chicks. Since she’s not laying eggs right now she doesn’t need the extra calcium.

But I’m curious what others feed their mama hens with chicks.

All but one chick has hatched. And she hasn’t left the nest in almost a week. We started hand feeding her yesterday. Today she had 2 very large, mushy, and a little explosive poops.

Since that one chick hatched she’s been sitting for one week? Or she’s been sitting for a week and in that week one chick hatched?

Sorry that made no sense. 6 out of 7 eggs hatched. She hasn’t left the nest for a week. We moved her to our indoor brooder so she can eat easier

Candle the remaining egg, it may be bad. If it is dispose of it, so she won't return to the nest but will start taking care of her chicks instead.

Should I use a heat lamp in the brooder with the hen

I use a heat lamp to the end of my brooder so the chicks can go under it sometimes. They all seem to enjoy it.
