Broody hen with no eggs

Hope you can give some advice. I have a Jersey Giant hen who is always broody. Have raised two chicks that were not her's but she sat the eggs. She is very broody right now but no eggs. I would like to put eggs under her. How long can a newly laid egg sit out without a hen sitting on it and still be a viable egg. I get about 8 eggs a day and would like to put some under her. Yes, I do have two roosters, each with their own flock.

They can sit for a while, after 7 days it gets iffy.

A few hours, or a couple days is no problem
