Broody Hen

Hello, my buff orpington is broody but she won't sit on the eggs. She just got broody yesterday. She clucks and puffs up and everything. I wish she would sit on them. I want babies. Can anyone help? Thanks!

If she won't sit on the eggs than what is she sitting on? A broody hen is normally sitting on something to try and hatch it.

She won't sit on anything. She just walks around and clucks. I think she sits on the eggs at nigh though but not during the day

What makes you think she's broody? To my understanding a hen is broody if she desires to hatch eggs. If she won't sit on the eggs then she really isn't broody.
