Broody Hen

My broody BA hen was sitting on 4 eggs for 2 days and i added 5 eggs from the day i moved her and the 4 eggs to my broody pen, she has been sitting for a week but i wonder if she will hatch both sets of eggs or only the original 4, will 2 days later eggs make a difference, any help would be appreciated. TY

Have a back up plan in mind. She may very well leave the nest within 24 to 36 hours of the first chicks hatching. You might try moving the first chicks to a brooder and then return them to the hen when the second batch hatches. Good luck. Staggered hatches can be a headache.

Thank you, i thought that might happen, i will have an incubator ready, i was not thinking and made a rookie mistake.
