I think one of my young hens has gone broody, if in a couple days she is still sitting (right now only on 1 egg) can eggs in the incubator be put under her? Has anyone tried this. Thanks everyone.

Yes, you can move them from hen to incubator or Incubator to hen. If the one egg under her is at the same stage of development they should all be ok otherwise the egg she is on may be lost if there is more that a day or two difference in the beginning of incubation.

I had 5 of my 13 hens go broody on me this spring/summer! Gah.
So I tucked 3 eggs under them in the nests and wrote the date on the eggs in pencil while collecting all other newly laid eggs daily. Son of a gun- 2 of the dated eggs hatched on time! I was thrilled to add two new babies to my inventory and best of all within 4 or 5 days all of the hens were no longer broody and are back to laying!I think the hens have us beat for incubating - at least when your flock is for hobby. I did have to sequester the pair of babies for safety.
