broody hen

my chicken collect straws and some feather before laying and sometimes hide the egg beneath the nest ...........does it means that she is going to be broody

May just be thinking about it but not yet decided if that is what she wants. When she sits on the nest all day, puffs up and growls at you when you get close, and starts plucking out her under feathers from her chest then that means that she has gone broody.
