I have a bit of a dilemma, I have a broody hen that just really really wants to be a mommy and just won't give it up. I've finally considered just bringing her into a heated room in my barn to hatch eggs OR I could let her brood the chicks that I'm hoping will hatch in my incubator in two weeks. So the question is, should I give her some eggs now, like tonight is an option or just let her sit it out in the coop and give her some babies in two weeks.

I'm starting to get worried about her, she's losing a lot of weight and I honestly don't really want to see that look she gives me, when I take away her eggs she collected for the day , again.

The two week option might be better. It would be one less week she would be on her "broody diet"

That's kind of what I'm leaning towards also. I may set up my brooder tomorrow and put her in a pet carries, in the brooder with her golf balls. She can hang out there till these start to hatch. :D Hopefully she will stay put then but she's been very determined to prove me wrong so far.
