Broody hen

I have a hen that went broody. We have her in a broody buster pen. She's been in there 3 days now. She had only been broody about 2 or 3 days before we put her in broody buster. I've heard once they lay an egg is a good sign they are no longer broody. But with set up of broody buster and not being able to nest will they lay an egg? Thanks

They find a way to lay in less comfortable areas. I take some of my standards to shows and they lay eggs with one handful of woodchips on a concrete ground
