Broody Hens Hatch due Nov 1

Just received eggs from juststruttinfarm.com to put under a broody hen, and now I have 2.

Under Olivia, a sassy Olive egger:

• Cream Legbar
• 2 Basque
• Swedish Flower
• Lavender Orpington
• Cream Legbar x Olive egger

Under Kate, a sweet, calm Silkie:

• Green egger
• 2 Mille Fleur

Getting pips! My silkie lost interest early on in setting, but then my BCM went broody, so stuck the eggs under her.

One of the eggs I accidentally collected and put in the refrigerator early on. That's what I get for not having on my reading glasses.

Here is mama Olivia and her 3 chicks. Chick 4 hatched but she kept throwing it out of her nest. When I got a closer look it's scull didn't look completely closed.

Nice chicks. I have some legbar eggs under a broody, due to hatch out in a week - fingers crossed
