I finally have 2 broody hens and they are sitting eggs of all different dates. I went through 18 of them and split them up 3 different ways by how far along they were. Some had piped and some hadn't. I put 7 under one that were pretty far along(2 had piped). 5 that were farther along but not as far under the second hen. And the last 6 went in the incubator. What I am wondering is will the hen that is sitting the eggs that are the farthest along raise all eggs or just the ones that hatch early and leave the rest.

I am just wondering if I should and how to split them up or pull them and let the later ones hatch in the incubator and introduce them to the hen that starts with the hatchlings first. I should have watched harder but I marked a few from the beginning and the rest came I guess when those hens got up to eat or drink. Any and all suggestions are appreciated
