As long as your hens are not sitting on a new spot in the other coop it should work great as a broody breaker.

Oh wow, that looks like an amazing broody breaker to me! I generally (until lately) have not had broodies, but if these two mamas do it again, I may have to get me one made like yours! That is like Broody Hilton!

Right now, it's been almost two daytime days, and they're not brooding anymore.

Give her a few weeks to build up her nourishment again before she starts laying.

Back in March I let my broody hen sit for the 21 days, but then gave her two baby chicks to raise (and A LOT of food to eat). She raised them for a month, then about a week after resumed laying eggs. She's going well.

Well, update: We have 14 hens and today we got 14 eggs! Yay, working for a living.....
