Broody Hens vs Laying Hens

Once again, as long as laying hens have access to broody hens, you will have manifold problems hatching and raising chicks.

The broody can be isolated outside the coop inside a dog crate. She will be so happy to stay inside there she won't move out on her own. This means letting her out each morning to do her duty, eat, and drink. If you don't do this, she will become constipated, then the real fun begins (rubber gloves, etc).

But when I introduce them back into the coop, they pick on her, and I am extremely soft hearted when it comes to my chickies being attacked and bloody
