American Games are my suggestion. You are in SC where you should be able to find them possibly on craigslist. Most sellers of chickens for backyards also carry them. They may be listed as Old English Game but should not have bantam in the name.

search game chickens. For you use i suggest hand rearing chicks so hens are suitable for handling while broody.

Most gamehens are heavier than 4 lbs with many approaching 5 lbs. Are you confusing Old English Game Bantams with games?

Yes, I think I'm confusing Old English Game and American Game.
