In nature, a hen lays a nestfull of eggs then goes broody and hatches them. To discourage a hen from going broody, you remove the eggs every day. Does anyone have experience in putting a number of eggs in the nest to encourage a hen to go broody? I'm thinking of using about a dozen artificial eggs. I'm aware nothing is fool-proof as you are dealing with living organisms, but I'd be interested in any experience anyone has with this.
