What kind of chickens are most likely to go broody? I already have easter eggers, ISA browns, light brahmas, wyondottes, buckeye, buff Orpingtons, barred rocks, and Amber links. Are any of those likely to go broody? If not, or if you don't know what kind of chickens are likely to go broody? Anything is helpful, thanks!

In my experience Wyandottes are great broodies and Orpingtons are pretty broody, but it can depend on the line they are bred from. Some people select for that, others don't. We don't have Brahmas in my country but I think they are pretty broody too from what I've read on BYC.

Ok thanks so much!

Yeah definitely, Orpingtons are great broodies. Ive got one brooding eggs right now! I hear Brahmas can be pretty broody. And definitely wyandottes too. Mine just started laying so I have experience with them. But they are a traditional heritage breed so much more broody than like a RIR. I don't know about buckeyes. But for sure Orpingtons will be your best broody out of your flock.
