My broody hatched 3 chicks this weekend, 2 friday nite and 1 this morn. This evening when we went out to check her, she had moved the chicks and left 6 eggs in the nest. The eggs were cool. It is 77 degrees here right now. So I brought them in and candled them. 2 were not good. The other 4 still had movement. I have the bator going with a couple of eggs in so I put them in with them. But one was chirping and had a pip. The humidity was in the 30's. I added some water to raise it. My question, is this going to be enough to keep the chick from sticking to shell? I do a dry incubation anyway and when the chicks hatch I keep it around 60%. My other question, raising the humidity to around 60 won't hurt the developing chicks will it. I don't think it should, but I'm just asking for assurance.
