I have a white leghorn who doesn't want to get out of her nesting box, has stopped laying, and has a REALLY bad attitude. I didn't think leghorns got broody. Does anyone have experience with leghorns becoming broody???

Any breed can be broody. Leghorns aren't known for going broody, as you know, but it sure sounds like yours forgot to read that book!

Wow, I've never heard of a broody leghorn before, but as Chirpy said any breed can go broody. I like broodies, so I say go get some eggs for her!

Yes, I had a dark brown Leghorn go broody twice in one year. At that time I just let her be. Now, I would take advantage of it and put some eggs under her. In fact she has a daughter who went broody 2 weeks ago and I put 3 eggs under her.....2 RIR & 1 Red Star. This will prove interesting.
