I've got a broody wyandotte, and serama eggs coming. Will baby seramas be okay under such a big mama? I know they're teeny, and now that the eggs are in the mail I'm worrying... when the babies hatch, will they get squashed?

They are tiny, so if you let the broody hatch them all the way, it could happen. Also Seramas do not follow the 21 days incubation timeline, they hatch early. The little yellow one below hatched early on day 19.

No bator, and my home temperature is not stable enough to keep a bator at a steady temp. So they're going to have to be under the broody the whole time. I'll have the broody in a crate in the house, so I can keep an eye on things when they start hatching. Hopefully I can just get them out as soon as they hatch and put them under a heat lamp. Thanks for your input, and your cute pictures! I'm really crossing my fingers for a good hatch, as I've been wanting seramas for a long time. Your babies are darling, and I can't wait to have my own...
