Broody momma and 6 new chicks out walking the yard!

I received a phone call from my lovely wife a few minutes ago letting me know that one of our broody hens is now walking around the property with the 6 chicks she's been simmering for the past few days.

She left 4 eggs behind in the nest so when I get home I'll get rid of them, 6 out of 10 for a first time brooding isn't too bad I don't think.

Yay! So nice. Not a bad hatch rate at all! We got 5 out of 10 last month.

I had two of 6 a few days ago, so sounds like a good hatch to me
