broody-ness question

I do put her on 'special eggs' occasionally during the summer but what I am perplexed by is that she has been showing all the broody characteristics for well over a week but still gives a daily egg......that is surely not the norm........and yes I am gently convincing her that during blizzards is not a good time to be a mother

I only WISH my leghorn would go broody!
She's laid an egg a day and likes to hide/stockpile her eggs.
However, being a leghorn, she does not like to sit on them!!

I found four separate clutches - one w/12, one with 16!, one with 14, and one with 9 eggs in them!!!
Look at all those breakies I missed eating!!!

She gets seriously P.O.'d if I take her egg (squaks at me) and she has started a new hiding place as of yesterday.
Wonder where it is THIS time!
