I've got 8 out of 12 silkie eggs hatched. Today was day 21. They started yesterday morning, and the last two hatched this afternoon. There are 4 eggs left under mama, and she's sitting tight. I've taken all the babies out and put them in a brooder, because I've got outdoor cats that are a threat to their safety.
So the question is, how long do I wait for the last few eggs to hatch? At what point do I take mama off the nest and try to get her back into normal life?
