Today (luck of the Irish, please be with me!) is hatch day by my calender. My eggs/chicks may not know this, but it is. When and if they begin to hatch, what should I look for from my broody? What I mean is, will she give me any indication that they are ready to hatch? Will she get off the nest? Will she stay there? Will she get up & dance a cha cha?

What should I watch for? What should I expect?

Thank you in advance.

Lucky you! You'll hear peeping under her and they will come out and momma will peck them back under!

My little broodies started making the most contented little noises when theirs hatched. And I think they were smiling. Seriously.

It's 2:20pm and still nothing from the nest

I am hopeful that at least one of the five eggs she setting on will hatch.

I swear, I don't have a fingernail left to chew on!
