Hi all,
I have a hatchery RIR that is about 13 months old and has decided to go broody. No fertile eggs or chicks to give her(I have enough as is)...
I don't care that she has gone broody, my question is can I just leave her be to work it out on her own? Will she eat and poop as needed? Seems like a silly question but I have never had any broodies until now.
Thanks.

She should be just fine. Just make sure there is fresh water and feed close by her. I've got lots of broodies this time of year, usually after 2 weeks they give up when there isn't anything under them!!!!

I have an Orp that has been broody for 3 weeks!!! I pull her out every morning and every afternoon to make sure she eats etc. However, she is losing alot of weight........again, should I be worried???
