Broody? Or something else?

One of my silkie chickens has been acting different. I noticed this morning that she was missing feathers on her stomach. She also acts broody sometimes when I collect eggs. Flat like a pancake, puffed up, growls. But she still lays eggs, unless we have a mystery chicken who also lays tiny cream eggs.

I wouldn’t mind her being broody if it were April, then I would put soem babies under her, but not in January. She was broody last year around November, have her feathers just not grown back in?

Sounds as if she is broody to me. Is she setting on the nest over night ?

Yeah she is. Both of them do becasue they can’t fly up to the roosts. I used to put them on the lowest roost myself until I relized they got off and slept under the roosts and got pooped on. So now they sleep werever they want. She also goes outside maybe half they day.
