Broody post any tips and advice

Well after to a long week and half or so of pinching all the others eggs to sit on we managed getting some fertile wheaton maran eggs for her to hatch a long, personally i think its the best way as nature has took it toll and were leaving it to do its think.

I believe shes took pritty well to the six eggs as that day she only had 2 under her so when we took the out and replaced them she rearranged them by moving them out and puffing out a lot more to keep them all covered!

So now its just the waiting game a keeping a eye on her daily i will update the out come in around 21-22 days.

So really any tips and advice will be brilliant as its her and our first hatch ever, everything will be taken deeply in as this is a learning point/curve!

Is she separated from the flock? I separate while they set on eggs, then let them raise the chicks in with the flock. If they set in with the flock, they can return to the wrong nest, steal eggs from other nests, have others lay eggs in their nest, etc. Eggs can easily get lost or broken. At the minute shes in this hutch and run with food and water in the hutch i put a little run on in case she wants to go for a stretch as such but mainly to keep the others of the eggs, but i was thinking of leaving then seprate from the other chooks untill they was around a week old!
