Broody question...

When a hen goes broody, does she lay a certain amount of eggs and then stop?
Or do they keep piling up underneath her like that old cartoon with the singing rooster?

If the hen is of a breed that goes broody, she will stop laying after a certain amount(which varies) and set on them. Different breeds are more or less broody than others and some can incubate more eggs than others. It all depends.
